    Pick a QB/DT Combo

Each of the following is at least plausible (though some are more probable, and some more expensive, than others).

Which option do you like the best?

Note: I know that taking Bradford does not guarantee that the Rams take a DT in Round 2. My question is premised on the notion that the Rams view these as either the top 2 needs or the BPA options.

Also, for the sake of the poll, assume that Albert Haynesworth or Jason Campbell could be obtained for (and would require us to give up) the Rams' second round pick (I recognize that either, particularly Campbell, might be available for less).

I picked Bradford and Price. I think Albert would require a lot of the salary to be absorbed by the Redskins before I accepted that trade.

I'd rather have an impact pass rusher with Bradford than Price, but Price is a great player. I just think that DE is a bigger need than DT right now and a more premium position.

I like the idea of Bradford and Odrick. Of the combinations available it seems to be the one that will benefit us most in the long term. Provided both pan out of course. But at this stage i like that combination

Right now today; even for the next year or two, the best combo would have to be Bradford/Haynesworth. But for the long run, I like the Suh/McCoy combo.

    Re: Pick a QB/DT Combo

I am the one that picked Sam Bradford/Lamar Houston. Why? The more I study it out the more I don't think the Rams will select a DT in the first or second rounds. Therefore I am hoping that a guy like Houston will be available at the top of the third round.

If Houston is not available two other possibilities are Arthur Jones of Syracuse and Geno Atkins from Georgia.

As for the second round I look for the Rams to select a DE (Everson Griffin?) or to trade down for more picks. I don't see them taking a DT at #33.

    WHAT SAY YE?

i was gonna pick that combo too out of the ones provided but took the question as being which combo would you take with the first two picks.. so went for Bradford/Price

Assuming Alualu was being picked in the 3rd round picked him with Bradford so we can get Bradford help on the offensive side at the top of the second.

A lot of the guys I've listed would be great selections in the third round, but I really don't think any of them will last that long.

So, all of you Captain Kirks out there... stop trying to reprogram the Kobayashi Maru and just answer the question!

i'm going with suh and mccoy, although i doubt it has legs since mccoy is arguably the third qb taken and at least 3 will likely go in round 1. i also like campbell, and think he could be had for a 2011 3rd or 4th (to replace the 2nd pick they will send to the eagles, basically) but i'd like to pick up a young prospect like mccoy or possibly lefevour/pike even if we manage to trade for him.

Bradford / Cody (assuming a DT must be taken)

JMO but I think Terrence Cody is going to be a premier NT in the NFL. He's not a multi-tasker like Suh because he can only stop the run but for what he does, he's going to be dominant for the next 7 years.

Suh LeFevour. Even if taking him in the second is a bit of a reach, it's not as financially devastating a reach as you might think.

    Bradford and Odrick.

I don't really fancy getting another NT, as we have 3 NTs already. We need a slimmer, faster, quicker UT to penetrate the gaps.

Cambell QB, Haynesworth DT, Suh DT, and use the 2nd and 3rd picks on whatever you want.

    Re: Pick a QB/DT Combo

I reckon it'd cost us one of or both the 2nd and 3rd picks to grab up Haynesworth/Cambell.
That being said, I really don't think we need a DT/QB 1&2. I agree with previous sentiments that DE or TE would be a bigger need. If pressed though, I'd say Bradford/Odrick. I'm still hoping for Arthur Jones in the 3rd or 4th, but I'm not sure where he's projected to go anymore.
