Potential Draft day trades
Last year Denver traded with the Rams in order to get Cutler and Denver could possibly be looking to trade up once again. According to the Denver Post the Broncos have been negotiating with Detroit to aquire their number 2 pick in the first round. Although, it seems unlikely they (Denver) could be looking at making a more modest trade up.
It seems logical that perhaps a deal could be struck with the Rams provided that all of St. Louis' primary targets are off the board at 13.
Who do you think that Denver might have their sights on?
Does anybody else know of any teams shopping around their picks or willing to move up?
Re: Potential Draft day trades
If we trade down, I would only like it if we got Pat Willis.
Re: Potential Draft day trades
The only way we'd trade down, I suspect, is if Carricker, Okoye, Branch, Adams, and Anderson are all of the board. Even then we might not do it if we think Willis and Timmons will be selected soon thereafter.
Re: Potential Draft day trades
If we trade way down (I hope not) Tank Tyler is also a choice.
Re: Potential Draft day trades
I could see us trading down only if Okoye, Branch, Carriker, Anderson, Landry, and Willis are gone.
I could also see us trading Claude Terrell and Jerametrius Butler on Draft Day for extra picks.
Re: Potential Draft day trades
I just don't see us trading down this year. Unlike last year, there almost certainly will be a top tier defensive player on the board at #13 who will bring great value.
We never would have traded down last year if we could have landed Davis, Huff, or Hawk.
Guys like Bunkley and Ngata were not great value at #11 last year.
This year, I see us letting the draft come to us - Poised to snatch up Okoye, Branch, Landry or Anderson if they drop; or fall back on Carriker or Willis (who are top 12 values).
Re: Potential Draft day trades
I'd like to see us trade the 13th pick for an already established, (pro-bowl around the corner) type DT.

I thought Ngata was fantastic value at 12 for the Ravens.

Gotta agree with you there BBQ.
I was really hoping that the Rams would have drafted him last year. Guess the Rams had too many holes last year. Don't get me wrong I think Tye will be a very good corner for St. Louis, but how much of an impact did he make last year?
Ngata was my guy last year and I just don't get that warm fuzzy feeling from a NT prospect this year.

They don't really have much in the way of trade value. In particular, I don't think we'd get rid of offensive line depth for a sixth rounder or whatever.
