Lets hope we have around $30 million in cap space (because I've heard anything from 20 to 30) and thats before extending Chris Longs contract (due 18 mill this year, we give him a 6 yr deal and pay him 13 mill this year, saves us the diff) and the re-structured or cut contract of Jason Smith (due 10 mill this year, we can save a good 6 mill). That'd leave us with around (if we have 20 mill) 31 mill and (if we have 30) 41 mill. That puts us in a great position to grab some nice players tomorrow.

I'm sure every team in the NFL wants Mario Williams. But when you think about the pay day hes going to get (probably something around 90 million, 15 mill - 20 mill per year) you get pushed off. We will not be able to afford him.

I mean as crazy as it might sound it can really be dangerous...If quinn or Long can move inside and we match them up with a big body like Poe or Franklin we would have one hell of an d-line

You might not be the only one but you can sure as hell count me out.

With all the holes we have to fill, no way am I willing to devote such a huge chunk of cap room to a position where we actually have a ton of potential.
