Still think that's too Front-7 heavy at the top of the draft.

Do you have Martin playing OT or G for us?

Not a fan of drafting Barr but it's still a decent draft. Would also prefer if we brought in a developmental QB who is taller and has a stronger arm than Fales.

Not surprised you have us taking Donald lol

To keep up with this division we need a killer defense, and part of that is improving our run defense, which I believe Donald and Barr will help. Not to mention their abilities to pass rush.

I would play Martin at LT until Long is ready to return. Then I wouldn't mind kicking him inside to OG.

And of course, Donald is my guy!

After all the buzz, and even with the issues over his size, do you see Donald being there at #26? I can't see him lasting if he performs well in certain combine drills.

I could live with it, though there's certainly question marks on all of the 1st 3 picks: Can Barr convert to a 4-3 SAM? Can Martin play OT at the next level, or did we just use the #13 pick on a OG? Can Donald stop the run at the next level?

I love the Joyner, Jackson, and McGill picks. All plug needs with value picks. But I'm just not yet sold on Martin being the best pick at #13. Having said that, I think I would feel good with this draft.

suffice to say, somoen really like Aaron DOnald =P
I like Fales if hes there at that selection.

WR- I keep reading that Landry is good-- but I think we can do better, especially if this 3 1st round pick senario came to fruition. I cant see why we wouldnt use 1 of the 3 on one of the hyped receivers.

I know we need a FS..... however Im not sold on drafting one of Willy Wonka's or the Land of Oz denizens=P

Hey guys be gentle. First time poster.

Anyways. I would love it, if the Rams made this trade. However, I would much rather see our OT position get filled. I believe that Fisher would go with Robinson, then fill out the defense. Robinson will provide that masher of a run blocker Fish would want. Then getting a S and DT or LBer would be pretty awesome.

That being said, I don't think the Browns will make this move.

I just noticed this. If the draft goes this way, that would mean 6 of the front 7 would be 1st rounders, with the 7th (J-Lau) being the 2nd pick of the 2nd round.

I think Barr's athleticism and nasty style of play can be brought into a 4-3 scheme. I do believe Martin can play LT until Long returns (Riley Reiff is a similar player and he's having success at LT). Once Jake returns, we can move Martin to OG or RT, or even keep him at LT.

Yes, that's "trenches," not "benches." Which is why I don't know that we need to use two first round picks on a third DT and a guy who would likely line up at DE on 3rd down.

Aaron Donald would be out there every 3rd down.. Barr is athletic enough to even stay at LB on 3rd downs. Plus with Gregg Williams I am sure we're going to get some very creative blitzes coming on 3rd down this year.

No matter what you do, though, you're putting someone on the bench.

If Donald stays in, then Langford sits.

If Barr stays in, then either a DE (Long?) sits, or a LB (JL?, Ogletree?) sits.

Don't get me wrong... having a strong rotation of front 7 players is a great thing. My point is simply that, before you build up a rotation that is already pretty strong, you need to fill the key holes (OL, S).

As a wise men once said, "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding. HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT!!!"

    Re: Potential Trade down Mock

Alot of people say don't draft based on need. Draft based on the best player available. With this draft I have to disagree. We NEED to fill some holes.
