Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
Calling it a 4.48 since he'll probably be on a fast track.

I'll say 4.52

Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
Mark me down for 4.45. Julio Jones shocked the world at the combine, I suspect JB81 to do the same.

Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
Umm, I'll say somewhere between 4.25 and 5.80. Oh dang!
Okay, how about 4.51.
Hey, I'm just curious; how slow does his time have to be in order for all of the game footage of him dominating pass defenses burst into flame and be completely scrubbed from existence in the space-time continuum?
Because until that happens, he's going to be an elite WR prospect."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
Just as a point of reference.
The combine results like a big WR to have a 4.55 or lower.....Blackmon isn't a big WR and isn't a burner...
I think NFL Scouts wouldn't want 4.57 or higher.....so on a fast track they want a 4.53 or lower.......
So, pro day 4.54 is the medium to judge Blackmon at on the fast OSU track....IMHO
Blackmon may also want to bench press again...
Broyles, 5'9" 192 had 21 reps on the bench press, compared to Blackmon, 6'1" 207 who had only 14 reps
17 reps and above is the mark there....but obviously speed is more important because an NFL team will get him stronger.....

Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
The get excited time would be 4.47 --- 4.48 on a fast track is great...put the time that says, "Wow, he really can run, would be 4.47"
Also, it would be wise to compare his time vs. other guys running there today (if anyone else, I am sure)...
to get a feel.....

Re: Predict Justin Blackmon's Pro Day 40 Time
I don't see why people are so excited about his 40 at his pro day. The pro day is there to help their own players... I wouldn't see surprised to see Blackmon run a 4.4 flat.
