Prediction: The Rams Will Sign Bradford By April 20

When it was announced that the Rams would have a private workout with Sam Bradford on April 19, many people took that to mean that there would be no pre-draft deal, as there would only be 3 days to negotiate a contract between the workout and the draft.

I think the premise of that interpretation - that negotiations would not start until after the workout - is incorrect.

My expectation is that the Rams will have serious discussions regarding the parameters of a contract prior to Bradford's visit. In fact, I suspect that the Rams' goal is to sign Bradford before he leaves town.

So... I'm going out on a limb and predicting now that the Rams will sign Bradford no later than April 20. That would, of course, take some of the suspense out of the first day of the draft, but it would also take away the worry of any sort of holdout.

I think / predict an announcement will come on the evening of the 21st that the basics of the contract have been agreed upon. Before the Rams make the pick, everyone in the world will know Bradford is going to be a Ram for a long time.

Does his reading defenses ability make anyone nervous, line calls, can he make the transition as fast as everyone is hoping? Hes smart thats for sure and I am in agreement with getting him signed, I just hope hes as good as advertised.

Marc Bulger will start in 2010....just my thoughts..... We end up with Suh, or we trade down if possible. When your talking about 70 to 80 million on a rookie, it's almost worth it to trade down even if you can't get a lot in return.

Is Sam Bradford really deserving of a contract almost comparable to Peyton Manning? I can't reason with that....AT ALL

Is Suh really worth being paid as the #2 DT in the league? (Bradford wouldn't be paid anywhere near Manning)

Who questions his ability to read defenses? I heard that was one of his pluses, his ability to pick apart a defense. Hopefully he's as good as advertised, just don't forget you'd be left with hope no matter who we draft in every round.
