Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
Right now, almost every draft board and every mock has (in some order) the following players as the top 6: Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Matt Kalil, Justin Blackmon, Morris Claiborne and Trent Richardson.
Who is the most likely player to break into this Top 6 and supplant one of the existing players?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
It will either be Dontari Poe or David DeCastro.
Sounds kind of unorthodox?
I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they break the Top 6.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
I contemplated going with Tannehill as a possible pick for the Browns at No. 4, but then reconsidered and went with "Nobody."

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
Everyone may think I'm nuts but I keep having a feeling the Rams may prefer Michael Floyd to Justin Blackmon. Ideally they should trade down to draft him at a lower spot, but I'm hard pressed to think which team may be willing to trade up to #6. Just my off beat opinion.
Go Rams!

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
Tannehill could break in it from #3 to #6. Seeing there aren't (don't know if I dare use the word, without causing a ****storm) reaches anymore. Or in my opinion the new rookie scale has evened the playing field regarding positions.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
It all comes down to the Browns. They either take Tannehill or the top 6 is set.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
MDE, Just curious (no disrespect intended) how you come to the conclusion that the rams prefer floyd to blackmon. I understand why you may prefer floyd to blackmon (because you are of course entitled to your own opinion), but why do you think the rams might be leaning that way (ie is there any basis to your opinion?).

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
Ryan Tannehill, may move up but that would be a reach (Sorry AV I could not help myself) due to the need for a franchise QB.
I think any of the other can move up to #6

I think one of the DTs is a possibility, picked at 6 by us.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
I voted "nobody" but the more I think about it I could see Floyd at 6 if Blackmon is gone. Julio Jones started out as a mid round pick and worked his way up. The Rams might like a big, fast, powerful receiver like Floyd who remained productive with all the changes at QB ND had.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
I think it could easily be Tannehill with the Browns.. QBs are always sneaking up and being picked way earlier than anyone could have thought. Ponder, Gabbert, Locker are all good recent examples of this. In thinking about the Browns draft strategy you have to consider the relevance of the #22 pick as well. Browns could Secure Tannehill with #4 and then take Floyd at #22 (if he doesn't fly up the boards) which offers the fanbase some reason to show up to the games the next few seasons.

Re: Which Prospect Could Break Into The Top 6?
It's entirely possible that the Browns may have to take him at 4 if they want him. Miami now employs his old coach and they've missed out on every QB they've targeted so far. Tannehill might not make it past them. If Cleveland does take him I could see Miami taking Floyd so they'd have someone to trade for 3rd round picks in a couple years.
