Which QB would you less likely want to face in the NFC west?
As the time for the draft grows nearer it looks more and more likely that at least one of our division rivals will have one of the two top tier QB's when the end of the first day is over.
The question is: Who would you not want to face on a year out and year in basis, Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton?
In my opinion I think I'd rather face Gabbert since you can really just pin your ears back and rush him, unlike Newton where you MUSt guard both his pass and rushing abilities.

Doesn't matter. I'd be happy to see either of them in the division. Especially if that means the Cardinals passing up on Von Miller to grab Gabbert or Newton. As for the ***** the same deal goes, pass up on Peterson, or Quinn or whatever defensive beast dropped to take Gabbert or Newton I would be ecstatic.

I dont know, I'm not sure about Gabbert but I honestly think Cam will be a outrageous player and it only takes a QB, especially in those two teams cases to get competitive in our division again.

Re: Which QB would you less likely want to face in the NFC west?
Yup, completely agree to. Like Sosa and Shower Beers said, I too think they are both very overrated. I think Gabbert doesn't make great decisions, and nothing about his play in college makes me think he'll be a better Pro. However, I do believe he'll be better than Cam Newton. IMO Newton is a clone of Vince Young. Newton will have to completely relearn what it means to play football, and I have some serious doubts about his ability to successfully do so.
And just to clarify, what I mean by relearn is that he's a one read and run QB who doesn't play in a pro system.

It's not that Gabbert scares me, but Newton just seems like a QB who will make suspect decisions and poor plays. I think that a strong rush will get to both of them, but I think Newton will make more mistakes when under pressure.

I think that Newton is the more talented overall. I never heard of Blaine untill Luck decided to stay in college.

Re: Which QB would you less likely want to face in the NFC west?
I'm not real crazy about facing either of them. These guys both are being considered potential top 5 picks for a reason. They have the physical tools needed to be franchise QB's in the NFL. I'd feel alot better about going up against Nate Enderle or Andy Dalton or another later round QB than these guys.
However, if mock drafts mean anything, we wont have to worry about facing either of these guys because I don't see QB being mocked to SF or Arizona at all, and neither of them should be there when Seattle picks
