Question for $6-6.5 mill. who would you rather have?

Interesting question: If you could choose who would you want for that price tag? Danny Amendola or Anquan Boldin? I think I'd rather have somebody that would be not just a 3rd down intangible but would help fill out our WR corps and would be a go to guy with experience. My answer? Boldin. Of course this is pending the Ravens releasing him which is expected. Interested to hear a few thoughts from others.

Thinking a 3 Yr deal if its considering Danny and 2 YR deal if we are talking Boldin.

Neither get's my vote. Rather draft two receivers and still have 2 or 3 million left over.

Idk I'm tired of waiting for receivers to mature, instead of wasting two draft picks on WR's I'd rather just sign Boldin and draft Tavon Austin

We keep on drafting new guys who then don't immediately pan out so we draft more. I'm tired of that too. I'd go with either one, truthfully, but I'd lean towards Boldin. He's seen everything, can hopefully mentor the young guys and provide a reliable outside target. Givens can recreate Amendola as he demonstrated last year in addition to being a deep threat.

That said, I don't think we could get him to sign, unfortunately.

Can I cough up another million or so and grab Greg Jennings?

Jennings is asking for 11 Million, he won't get it but he will get more then I want to pay him. 9 -10 Million. I would rather take a shot at Cook for 6-7 Million.

Perhaps, but I read his market is small, so he may have to settle. I'd rather Keller than Cook, but either is good. Keller is a more proven weapon, and is excellent as a receiving option, whereas Cook is more potential and is a better blocker than Keller.

The way the WR market is shaping up, not to mention all the talent in the draft, I'd be surprised if Jennings signs for more than 8 or 9 mil a year. As a Rams fan, I think I'd be comfortable only giving him around 8 mil a year.

Re: Question for $6-6.5 mill. who would you rather have?

Unless we start redoing some contracts, we don't have the cap space to give a receiver $8M a year unless it's extremely backloaded. There's always creative contracts, and the per year is not the year one... but it still doesn't make sense to get a star at one position while then needing to get scrubs everywhere else.

Give me solid players at moderate salaries every day.

    How about this guy?

Brandon Lloyd, if they Pats let him go, I think he would be a good stop gap player and he would not break the bank,

The Patriots must make a decision on Brandon Lloyd's $3 million option bonus by March 16.
It's a little earlier than expected, and means Lloyd will hit the open market no later than the first week of free agency if the Pats decide to move on, as expected. Despite an underwhelming 2012, Lloyd shouldn't hurt for one-year offers. Mar 1 - 12:49 PM

I don't know what that says about Keller then, because Cook is definitely not a blocker but a movement/receiving tight end.

I chose neither. Rather draft two more wide receivers. Rams will draft a slot type WR , small, fast, and shifty. Markus Wheaton In maybe 3rd.
Tavon Austin in first. Would rather draft a safty and gaurd or tackle in first.
