    Re: Quick Pre-FA Mock

Not looking at names(because that's a waste of time anywhere past the 2nd round usually) and because I don't agree with some(*cough* Jake Matthews! *cough*), I actually would be pretty okay with how this falls. My only concern would be Center, where I'm going to assume that we have someone other than Wells starting in week 1. Maybe Barrett Jones can be that guy, though, who knows?

Don't know if Nicks will come that cheap, but I'd be all for an incentive laden contract. Maybe $50k for every game on the active roster, and a couple million worth of escalators on yards and touchdowns? If he got 1200 yards and 10 TD's he'd be worth $5M all told in my book, easy.
    I believe!

I like the idea, but I think both of those FAs will be considerably more expensive.

My guess is Byrd around 10mil and Nicks at least 5mil a year.

Not a fan of signing a FA WR like Nicks or Britt but I love the mock. In the conservative offense that Fisher wants I think Bailey will be our go to guy and Austin will provide the wow factor WR. Throw in Givens, Quick and Pettis and I think Fisher will be happy with the WR play next year.
