R.W. McQuarters to be released?
It looks like R.W. McQuarters might be cut from the Chicago Bears. If he comes at a good price I think he could be a very valuable addition to the secondary and special teams.
Not only is this guy a good cornerback (possibly better than Fisher and Butler), but he could also play free safety for us. He's also give us a legitimate kick returner.
I'd love to see this guy in the horns. This signing would remind me of the Aeneas signing.
Your thoughts?Last edited by ZigZagRam; -03-21-2005 at 05:35 PM.

San Francisco.
Could you be thinking of Mike McKenzie?

Might be worth a look, but I wouldn't mention him in the same breath as Aeneas.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

I just meant as a veteran signing that could make a big impact on defense right away.
Besides, he's already got the required haircut to be a starting CB for the Rams.

Not better than Fisher/Butler
Funny how the grass is always greener in someone else's yard. R. W. McQuarters is NOT better than Butler or Fisher. He was a backup to Jerry Azumah for Chicago, and only started when he got hurt.

I know Jerry Azumah is better than Fisher and Butler. Same goes for Tillman. McQuarters was behind two very good young CB's on the Bears depth chart.
I'd take Azumah and Tillman over Fisher and Butler in a second.Last edited by ZigZagRam; -03-21-2005 at 06:51 PM.

Any time I see your user name HU I'm forever going to think of the clown announcing the Bucknell v. Kansas game in the NCAA Tournament who insisted on pronouncing the name By-sahns.

By-sahns?! Does he think the animal is French or something? Only a niner's fan would pronounce it that way.
