Re: The Rams biggest need?
Tough choice but my vote goes to the Strong Safety position.
Most people will probably go OT but we've got Pace, Barron, Greco and Goldberg who can all at least perform competently at that position.
We have no-one at SS.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
I choose OT cuz we have the most quesiton marks there. Barron is inconsistant and Pace might get the boot.
SS we have Todd Johnson (lol) but a CB like Fakir Brown or Jason Craft can play SS if we dont draft or pick one up in free ageny (this is only if itz a worse case scenerio)

Re: The Rams biggest need?
We only have one good LB and he has been playing out of position at MLB. My choice was MLB.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
IMHO it's not any 1 position it's TALENT.
The Rams could use help in soooo many places that they need a BIG TIME PLAYMAKER OR A HIGH IMPACT LINEMAN.
Lets hope the players drafted have talent, leadership, and work ethics that others will observe and follow.
GO RAMS

Re: The Rams biggest need?
We have some people at OT and LB. We only have Johnson at SS, but we have other safeties. We have absolutely nothing at center Rhomberg, Cogs, Leckey are all FAs who shouldn't be more than back ups anyways.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
A center makes all the line changes when a defense is about to blitz. He is the general of the offensive line so I would love a Matt Birk to help stabilize our o-line or draft someone and let him work from day 1 at center...

Re: The Rams biggest need?
i went with MLB...i think a playmaker and respectable figure right in the middle of the D would do us really good...we have the offense potential, but our D has to keep us in the game too..
Of course one of the most important things too is OT..hopefully we can lock up an experienced player in FA...

Re: The Rams biggest need?
So far I don't understand some ram fans ! They have voted 5 times for OT so far.
(1) The rams don't have a starting Center.
(2) Only one SS on team.(T. Johnson was the backup last year)
(3) Witherspoon moving back to weakside LB. Who will be MLB.
(4) If Holt leaves (cut) Who at WR?
(5) You Ram fans don't even know what Offence the Rams will be ruuning.(Power running Game or West Coast) Pace & Barron have one more year on there contract.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
1 More thing the 5 people that picked OT didn't even give a reason why it should the biggest need.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
Here is a reason ; The OT is the most important position on the field. If you don't have an elite OT then your not going to have an effective offense. Having a young elite OT brought in this year to have a year to learn from one of the best to play the position would be smarter then being content with our current roster simply because they aren't very good with exceptions to Pace, if they were good then we would have had a good OL last year which is hardly the case, in case you havn't noticed we have one of the worst, you should be ashamed to have mentioned Greco and Goldberg as "competenly" hopefully you ment "competively" which neither of them are, the only thing they can compete with is the Rams roster. Elite OT's are usually only found at the top of draft with some exceptions.

Re: The Rams biggest need?
I really hope spags builds the rams with defense first in mind. I would love to see a dominant defense like the one in baltimore and blitzberg

Re: The Rams biggest need?
I'm not sure what constitutes "biggest need." For example, if you're simply asking "at which position is the discrepancy in skill between the current Rams starter and the average NFL starting player at that position the greatest?" then I'll answer SS. But if you're asking "which hole would you plug if you could plug only 1" then I'd answer LT.
So which is the bigger need?

Re: The Rams biggest need?
I voted center, but it might as well be a flip of the coin between that and strong safety. I'm not sure we've got a starter at either spot. After that, I'd go for MLB because we do have someone who can fill the role, but it's an obvious point to target for upgrade (especially since the linebacker depth is so perilously thin).
