Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
We need some speed on the outside. Fast backs bounced outside on us all too often last year.

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
I would take Leber over Diles. Didn't Diles have heart problems at the end last year and his play fall off because of it?
But i would want Bradley over any of them.

Yeah Diles did have heath problems last year. And didn't play that good.
I'd pass on Shanle also unless he's cheap and we can't get anything else. The Saints forums seem to be happy that he might leave.

Add Adam Hayward to the list.
Courtesy of Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly...
Hayward (6'1' 240lbs) is a former sixth-round pick out of Portland State. He has four career starts in four seasons, all over the course of the last two years. He turned 27-years-old this summer. The #Rams are pursuing #Buccaneers LB Adam Hayward.

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
Dadgummit...what about Rocky McIntosh?? He definitely does NOT fit in Haz' 3 -4. He is a prototypical OLB in a 4 -3 like we run.
And he's been a starter in Wash for some time now. These other guys just look like other teams throwaways.
We need to get JL some quality help; not just another watm body....

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
so tired of us patch-working the LB position. even Diggs, although he played well, shouldn't have been a counted on starter at the beginning of any season. yet we think vobora and some other guys who have never had a full-time job at lb will be able to make us nfc west champ?????? we need to find a way to get some quality starters here.

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
I don't understand why we aren't trying to get any of the good LBs. Unless we are and it's just not being reported. So far it seems like we aren't really making a push for any of the big free agents. And settling for other teams backups.

Re: UPDATE: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency
Thomas has been injury prone his last 2 seasons, and although he is still young, we are not sure how he will bounce back from not 1 but 2 ACL's in the same knee 2 years in a row. I live in Charlotte & word is that we are offering him a 6 yr. deal & he already wants to stay here.

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
Seems like the Rams are going go with ex Eagle, Giants and Falcon players again. Teams that are built very well.? The Rams are not going to make any more big splashes in Free agency, just going for 2 or 3 lesser known players.?

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
I wouldnt mind picking up Leber or Diles, but I would love to see Rocky McIntosh as a Ram. In four less years in the league is has almost equaled Leber production and is coming off a 100+ tackle season. I dont know how much his price tag is compared to Leber's but he's younger and more productive.

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
One guy who has not been mentioned who could be in the mix at WLB is rookie Jermale Hines. He has the frame (6'1 1/4, 215 lbs.) to grow into that spot and played some OLB at Ohio State.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Rams could sign 2 LBs in free agency (Shanle, Leber, Diles, Bradley?)
Although I seem to remember after the draft Devaney said he'd only play safety and they wouldn't try him at linebacker. Having said that after signing Mikell he might reconsider. Might be worth a shot down the line but I don't see Hines playing anything other than special teams for at least 2011

Cross Scott Shanle off the list; he just resigned with New Orleans.
