I like the Clanram Scouts one. Smith and Rudolph
We get a nice pass rusher and an elite target for Bradford and we also get great value
Justin Houstin and Stephan Paea that must of been long ago i do not consider either anymore lol
Basically, I expect us to go DL/WR as I think that's where the value will be. Green/Jones are absolutely the pick if either falls, but I'm really expecting either Aldon Smith or Corey Liuget to be the pick at 14. In the second round, there are a number of WR's that could go in any order, so I just hope the right one falls to us and we grab him. Right now, NFL Draft Countdown has Danny Watkins getting picked in the 2nd by the Rams, which would blow my mind.
My pick: Smith/Baldwin. Prototype RE and a tall WR to compliment the shorties we currently have. Personally, I would much rather have Torrey Smith or Hankerson though, as they seem to be harder workers.
I have Bar-bq a slight edge over myself. Liugett and Smith are two players the rams have scouted heavily and both have a pretty good shot of being there when we pick. Baldwin to me looks alot like Vincent Jackson including the character flaws, but I don't know if the Rams would go after someone who is unestablished in this league with his character problems. On the other hand Nolan Cromwel our WR coach worked out Torrey Smith. We sent a heavy contingent to both Aldon Smith and Correy Liugett's pro days and they are coming in for predraft visits so its pretty even between those 2
I started to type a long analysis of my selection, but then realized I could put "what Teke said" and it would get my point across just as well.
Its going to be tough to predict, but Liguet has alot better shot of being there than Julio, so I went with Liguet/Hankerson. I have a hard time seeing how it doesn't fall some combo of DL/WR/RB in the first three rounds, and if Julio is gone at 14 I believe that particular order of things will maximize the value in those given rounds. The only exception to this I see would be if LeShoure somehow fell to us in the second, in that case I hope we snatch up my boy Austin Pettis in the third (which contrary to popular opinion is really about where he belongs).
Gotta go with BBQ for realism on this one. The odds of JJ being there are maybe 50/50, so while I'd be happy if we landed him, I wouldn't bet on it. Luiget and Smith is a very sensible combination of players who fit needs and are quite likely to be available at #14 and #47 respectively.
I can't even say what I did yesterday, but I'll take a shot at what DeSpags will do in a couple of weeks.
My guess: either bar-bq or Nick got this one.
I'm getting the feeling that DeSpags has an interest in Liuget that is more than passing fancy, and both Hankerson (tangibles) and Smith (intangibles) fit the DeMcSpags system.
I like AvengerRam's picks. :)
I went with Ramfan. I've a feeling that Julio will still be there for us. Devaney has stated his liking for a DB in the second round and maybe Robert Sands is the man.
I think nobody has guess it yet. IMO we get Aldon Smith and Leonard Hankerson
Yes, BBQ, in a good way. I agree that he's definitely a safe pick, and one that is definitely in that 1st/2nd boundary range. If he drops to the mid 2nd, snap the boy up! The only reason I think he could even possibly drop that far is that he's 26, so teams may want a player 4 years younger with their high picks. As a guard though, I think he has a good 10 years in him.
My prediction is nobody gets it right and we go Julio Jones and Mikel Leshoure.
