Nick Wagoner, of StLouisRams.com, reports the St. Louis Rams may be interested in acquiring Green Bay Packers FS Darren Sharper, who is expected to be released by Green Bay before he is a due a $2.6 million roster bonus Saturday, March 12.

Having read Wagoner's article, it seemed more like a journalist simply suggesting a free agent that could fill the Rams' need. It didn't at all sound as if the Rams were actually pursuing Sharper, based on Wagoner's writing. But perhaps I'm mistaken.

I'd be happy with him. The fact that this is a rumor before he's even released must be taken into account too.
