Rams listed by Peter King as potential suitor for Janoris Jenkins
Per rotoworld
Hes a guy who I really want in round 2. He could arguably be the best CB in this draftSI's Peter King doesn't anticipate North Alabama CB Janoris Jenkins going in the first round, but he does name five teams that might be "tempted" to select Jenkins, perhaps if he falls into the second.
The teams named by King are the Patriots, Rams, Panthers, Bills, and Cowboys. Per King, some teams around the league have "gotten comfortable" with Jenkins' off-the-field red flags over the last couple of weeks. None of them is going to invest a premium pick, but Jenkins too talented to last for too long. Apr 26 - 11:17 AM
If we got Blackmon and then Jenkins to start round 2 I'd be very happy
Going to be rooting for Jenkins to slide outta round 1

Re: Rams listed by Peter King as potential suitor for Janoris Jenkins
I watched Jenkins play quite a bit when he was at UF, and he was definitely a standout player. Great coverage abilities, and excellent timing when it comes to turning toward the ball and leaving his feet.
That said, and while I don't think every player on the team needs to be a Walter Peyton award candidate, Jenkins' past is extremely troubling. In today's NFL, the threat of suspensions for off-the-field conduct looms large, and Jenkins seems to have a hard time avoiding trouble.
So, on my draft board, you won't see his name. If the Rams do select him, I'll hold my breath, cross my fingers, and hope that Fisher and Snead are right about him.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

I'm okay with the Rams drafting him, IF he agrees to move into Aeneas Williams' guest room.
That's the only way I'm agreeing to that pick."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Rams listed by Peter King as potential suitor for Janoris Jenkins
I wouldn't be averse to picking him second round based on his talent and our glaring need at his position. I'm more comfortable with the fact he's not a violent type of offender, but he still shows poor judgement, and that's still in the back of your mind when you welcome him to the fold. If we pick him here then I will accept him and give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure we couldn't get him with our second 2nd rounder.
