Rams officially sign Steve Smith, Matthew Mulligan
Per Jim Thomas twitter:
"Rams agree to terms with WR Steve Smith of Philadelphia and TE Matthew Mulligan of New York Jets."
"Smith's deal is for 1 year; Mulligan's is for 2 years. Mulligan visited Rams last week; he was not tendered as restricted FA by Jets."
tweeted around 2:30
I like the signing of Smith, don't know how I feel about Mulligan, though I am pretty sure he's just a blocking TE.

last year Smith had 11 rec. for 124 yards and 1 td. In 2009 for the Giants he had 107 rec for 1,220 yards and 7 tds
Mulligan for his 3 year career has 6 receptions for 60 yards

Re: Rams officially sign Steve Smith, Matthew Mulligan
The Smith signing is terrific. Nothing but upside. If he is healthy, this can be a home run. If not, i dont see where we have lost much. As for Mulligan, i dont how much worse he can be then Dr Spock, who certainly did not live long and prosper at the role last year. I defer to Fisher on that point.
