    Rams Personnel at Pro Days

Courtesy of Gil Brandt's Pro Day updates, we know the following:

Tony Softli and Scott Linehan went to Virginia's Pro Day.

Devaney and Softli--but not Linehan himself--went to LSU's Pro Day.

None of the top guys from the Rams appear to have attended either Ohio State or Michigan's Pro Days.

Unspecified Rams coaches attended Arkansas' Pro Day, possibly checking out Darren McFadden, whom the Rams also invited to visit on Tuesday.

Tony Softli went to Oklahoma's Pro Day. Malcolm Kelly was not present, but linebacker Curtis Lofton worked out. He was one of the players we invited to visit last Tuesday.

Rams Linebackers Coach Mike Cox was at Tennessee's Pro Day. Jerrod Mayo is a linebacker there who came in for a visit with the Rams on Tuesday. Cox also attended BYU's pro day, the alma mater of Brian Kehl and Kelly Poppinga.

Rams Offensive Line Coach Loney was on hand at Virginia's Pro Day where Brandon Albert worked out.

Rams Defensive Line Coach Brian Baker went to see Kentwan Balmer work out at North Carolina's Pro Day.

Kendall Langford had a meeting with representatives of the Rams along with 5 other teams.

This would suggest to me that Glenn Dorsey and Chris Long were no. 1 and 2 on our board--not necessarily in that order. Also, we're showing an unusual interest in McFadden. Either we're blowing smoke on McFadden or the Rams are quietly dangling Jackson as trade bait. It's not as crazy as it might sound.

We are showing particular interest in linebackers Mayo and Lofton. Because they are both middle linebackers, it would appear that the team is not worried about Chillar's vacated strongside position, but they are looking for a backup for Witherspoon now that Draft will be starting outside. Well, that is my take on it anyway.
