Rams plan to trade top pick in second round

Rams GM Billy Devaney confirmed Friday afternoon that the team is planning to trade the No. 33 overall pick.

With countless needs, the Rams intend to move back and grab more picks. "I would be surprised if we stayed at 33," Devaney said. ESPN is reporting the Browns and Bills have contacted them (among other teams) which most likely means Clausen is coming off the board. I bet we can move back a few slots, pick up a 3rd and a 5th.

I could deal with the #33 and barron, to buffalo for the #41, #72, and #140.

Cle - maybe #33 for #38 and #85 (hoping haha)

Cle does have 3 3rd round picks (71,85,92)

Very possible, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills were moving up for Brown or Saffold. As for Cleveland, they may like Colt McCoy more. We'll have to see.

could see Cleveland going for Kindle aswell..tho they wouldnt have to get ahead of the Vikings to take him i guess..unless they think we might take him of course.

seemed like only a week or so ago he was projected to be taken in the top half of the 1st..tho that was usually to the Raiders if i recall correctly...so who knows..maybe he`ll go in the 4th now..

I think that's where a few of the teams are looking. He was an OT that should have gone in the low 20's. (Raiders were a joke prediction on one site that people kept repeating and didn't get the joke) He could easily lure someone to trade up at this point.

1. Clausen falls to the 3rd round.
2. The Rams take a WR, but not one with the last name Tate.

actually, my second one is serious. I think the Rams are going to trade down and grab a wide receiver that doesn't look like the second coming of Donnie Avery.

i like trading down...washington, ducasse, carrington or atkins could be available even late in the second, and picking up an extra pick is almost necessary at this point with the roster we have.
