Profootballtalk.com reports that the Rams have extended a contract offer to free agent CB Roderick Hood.
Hood, who drew previous interest from Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Detroit, is reportedly also slated to visit Chicago. He'd be an ideal fit in St. Louis. Hood knows coach Steve Spagnuolo's scheme and the Rams need corner help.

Didn't he used to play in Arizona? If he's the one I'm thinking of I am not all that impressed with this move. We've got a bunch of youngin's at the position that need to develop, and I don't see how having a Tards reject is going to facilitate that endeavor.

Bring him in, you can never have enough corners especially one that could be your number 2 guy. He really made a name for himself when he was a corner under Spags. We could have an excellent secondary right now, we have a chance to make an extremely strong unit right now and for the future. I think we need to take that opportunity and add a good press corner opposite bartell along with the 2 good safeties in Butler and OJ. We also have good young depth in hill, Wade, King, and Fletcher.

If Hood sticks to this approach over starting, the Rams, Browns, and Lions can probably forget about him. The Bears would appear to be his best fit.

My only question is how he's at in the run game... if we actually have a good pass defense, we'll just get run over until we get tired and then really get run over!

If Hood gets brought in the rams should package Hill,Wade,and some draft picks for a SLB Might as well right a Last time I checked a SLB was more important than the teams third CB

Found this today.

The Rams are reportedly pursuing a deal with free agent CB Roderick Hood, who has been a starter for two seasons with Arizona, before being released recently in a salary cap move. Hood played for the Eagles when Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo was there.

Meh...it doesn't really bother me that we didn't get him.
