Defensive tackle Jay Alford, a former Giant who played for Spagnuolo, was just released by the Raiders.
With Ryan fighting the migrane issue, and Scott recovering from an ankle injury, Alford would be a nice depth signing at this point.

I believe this is merely your opinion AV, the guy was released for a reason, and it wasn't b/c he was playing at a servicable level. His stats are horrid which is part of the reason this is his 2nd time being released.
I am not sure that he has ever really proven much other then one sack in 2008 superbowl of Brady. He missed all last year after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. This year he has been released by the NY Giants and now Oakland.
I'm not looking at him as a starter, I'm talking about short term depth.
