Rams should trade down if they dont take Curry
I think the Rams should trade down in the draft if they dont plan on taking Curry...If the Rams dont take Curry then its obvious that they are going to take a OT witch there are three or four to take in this years draft....

Re: Rams should trade down if they dont take Curry
I agree unless Devaney and Spags have an OT in mind that just stands out above the others and they wouldn't have a chance to get him.
I like Curry at the #2 spot over all the OT's this year. That guy is just a football player and can do it all for any defense and would not have to come off the field on third down.
If we lose Pace, move Barron to LT and draft a RT in the second or third round.

You know, trading down at #2 in the first round is about as doable as me tackling Steven Jackson. It ain't gonna happen. Not in Round 1. Now, Round 2? very possible.

Exactly TX! Trade down is ideal. It wont happen because the gap between the talent is not as great as the gap in the cap impact of the top picks. The only remote shot we have of trading back is if detroit passes on stafford and someone wants to trade up for him. A longshot at best.

I don't think we will trade down. The pick comes down to J. Smith, Monore and Curry. These guys will be gone by pick 10.

Re: Rams should trade down if they dont take Curry
I like Curry a lot, but I think they should try to trade down even if they want to take Curry. When was the last time a LB went that high in the draft?
The problem will obviously be finding a trade partner in this case and that's unlikely. Especially since KC has their QB and Seattle has their WR.

Re: Rams should trade down if they dont take Curry
Actually--those teams that think they are on the edge of being contenders might be interested in the Rams pick in the draft. Dallas, with Jerry Jones at the helm
might be a good canidate; depending on Dallas' position in the second round might prove interesting. A late pick in the first round and a couple more second rounds might help the Rams address their needs issues better. The Vikings might be interested as well since what they lack is a QB. The Bangles loss could be the Rams gain---loosing Husmen(sic) to the Seahawks means they are likely in the market for a WR.
Just need someone with enough to offer the Rams the right deal. If the Rams use their pick and draft high means its more $$$ to sign the player and limit other acquistions down the road

The vikings just traded for sage rosenfield and signed him. In their view, they no longer need a qb.
