Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
This guy will be starting and possibly dominating in his 2nd year.
Conrad Dobler was his mentor. I remember last year Winslow (TE Browns) said,
after getting in trouble, it's not like I'm Incognito. He has quite the Reputation.
Kiper wrote in his report on juniors in 2004 that he was the nastiest player in the Nation.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
Incognito will be starting in 2006 if he keeps his head on straight. If not we can let him go with no problem. We have awesome depth on the O-Line now.

From what i have read, he may wind up on injured reserve this season with the knee. Give him a chance to mature a bit and learn the system.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
Good point, GC. I like the fact that we're not counting on him immediately, because then we get to see if he really is mature enough to sit there and watch, which he says was so hard for him in college.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
The Rams did a nice job of getting depth for the O line. Sweet!!!!
I don't know how confident I feel about Incognito being here, but the name entertains me. It would make a good screen name.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
IF the knee fully recovers
IF he matures and removes his off-field issues
THEN he is talented and passionate enough to be a Pro-Bowler."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
I liked how the name Incognito came about. His grandpa came from Italy, was at Ellis Island and no one could understand him so the clerk wrote down Incognito and it stuck.
Maybe that's what's wrong with Richie. Just misunderstood.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
I just had this thought; Incognito, walking up to the big front door at Rams Park, looking up in awe at the Rams logo.....and BOOM!!! gets barrelled into by none other than Mr. Kyle Turley. Turley, looking down says, hey kid _____________________________

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
I think the kid will do just fine, off field issues not withstanding. This is his chance to show everyone that he has first round talent, not to mention a chance at pulling in a good paycheck. I doubt he will spend this year on IR, he should be good to go early in the season.
Once he does crack the starting lineup it will be interesting to see what happens when an opposing player tries to cheap-shot Bulger.

Re: Rams take Richie Incognito (C, Nebraska) in the Third Round
i read somewhere recently that incognito is scheduled to have surgery on his patella ligament and not on any of the intracapsular ligaments, like the acl and pcl...
patella ligaments have the capacity to heal almost completely given enough rest and treatment...
