Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
The supplemental draft is coming up, and if Terrelle Pryor is eligible, should we go after him? I'd actually very much like if we gave up a 5th for him. If we could land him for a 5th, I'd do it in a heartbeat. He is a work in progress, sure. He has a lot of talent and would be the third QB.
As we go on we continue to develop his skills and give him reps during the pre season. Whats better than bringing up a QB then scamming a team for a high pick? The Chargers did it with Charlie Whitehurst and the Eagles did it with Kevin Kolb. I like Pryors skill set. He could practice for a few years here and possibly step in if need be (injury). Later we trade him if hes worth anything.
Low risk, high reward. Anything above a 5th we pass, although we wont know.

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
is good to sometimes think outside the box. would be nice if like with the Maybin one that these were at positions that we need help at and it wouldn`t mean us having to let go players who have shown more.

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
Would be ok, but seems like a luxury at this point. We have our starter & backup (which should be upgraded in the next year or 2.) but don't see Pryor being a viable backup for at least a couple years . So seems a bit rich even at a 5th rounder to a guy that should never start for us, wont be a decent backup for 3 years (at best).
End of the day its a gamble that will take 3 years to find out if it pays off, and my money's on it not paying off, we will end up cutting him.. but i agree with Ramblin, its good to think outside the box.
vote "NO" with extra vigour.
who else is in the supplemental?

Interesting, though I wouldn't mind seeing him here. I guess I must see something you guys dont.

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
There has been a lot of talk of moving him to WR, although I don't know that he would be interested in changing positions, and he would be in large need of development which we don't have a roster spot room on the PS for....

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
Umm....seriously, a Terrelle Pryor and Aaron Maybin post within a day, c'mon man, what on gods green earth has Pryor ever shown as a qb that would warrant wasting a draft pick on him

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
what wait TS wanted us to add Maybin as well? TS are you Al Davis?
Seriously though Pryor is not worth a fifth rounder. We got Hooie and Hines the last two years in the fifth round. I'd much rather draft someone who isn't a huge headache and ego maniac.

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
hehehee my bad.. didn't mean for the 5th.. I miss read.. I thought it was just a claim thing... I was under the impression these would be minimums ... if it's different then I'm an idiot for another thread .. and my opinion changes... but prior was a headache for U of M folks... so glad that he is gone... besides an over rated can't do nothin in the nfl undersized qb that was just surrounded by talent.. from the evil O.. seemed to work ok for san fran

Re: Rams and Terrelle Pryor?
Wouldn't give up a draft pick for this kid, our FO can find better talent around the 5th-7th drafting range who'll make better impact in such a short period of time.

I would rather the Rams pick up McAdoo in the supplemental draft.
