1. Brady Quinn-Quarterback Notre Dame
Marc Bulger's a wimp, we've seen him time and time again crumble from hits he takes behind an inconsitant line. Brady is the perfect fit for St. Louis. He's accurate, great field awarness, coachable, tough and played in a pro-style offense so he can step in right away and make a difference. He'll give Marc some time to think about the next city he'll live in.
2. Jeff Samardzija-Wide Receiver Notre Dame
Isaac and Torry don't get younger even though they continue to produce the numbers. We lack the big posession guy that can catch the jump balls. If we let Curtis go he can step in as the slot guy and be another clutch reciever in the Rams offense.
3. Tom Zbikowski-Saftey Notre Dame
Corey Chavous is getting older and slower, we picked him up just a little too late. O. J. Atogwe was playing better at the end of the season but still has a little while to go. We drafy Zibby to play either one of those spots. He has the speed to be a free saftey and hits like a strong. As an added bonus he can return punts and kicks for us, since we've been lacking in the return game and have questions at saftey, we take Tom.
4. Rhema McKnight-Wide Reveiver Notre Dame
Isaac and Torry don't get younger even though they continue to produce the numbers. We lack the big posession guy that can catch the jump balls. If we let Curtis go he can step in as the slot guy and be another clutch reciever in the Rams offense.
5. Victor Abiamiri-Defensive End Notre Dame
Poor play by the defensive line is an understatement this year. The Line needs to start rushing the passer. This guy is the man to do it. The revolving door doesn't do anything otherwise it wouldn't need to revolve. This guy comes on real fast to give our other Victor a race for the other end spot.
5. Darius Walker-Running Back Notre Dame
There's no change up back to
Steven Jackson. Stephen Davis is the reliever but he's the same type of power back. Walker comes in as the lightening to the thunder that's before him. With great hands he can contribute on third downs and do what was supposed to be Tony Fishers job. Walker could also come in and compete for a kick return job. All that assuming he goes pro.
6. Ambrose Wooden-Cornerback Notre Dame
Not the fastest corner but great in zone coverage. Can contriube on third downs and in multiple receiver sets. Not bad size so he can match up with the Cards Wide outs sometimes. Also helps to improve a secondary destroyed by injury the past couple of years.
7. Ryan Harris-Offensive Tackle Notre Dame
Also affected by injury this year was the offensive line, everywhere. It seemed like every week someone went down. This kid can come in for an injured player at a tackle spot and we move our other guys around like we've done this year. Smart player who won't have near the amount of penaltys Incognito and Barron had. Strong and dependable, he was the anchor of the Irish offensive line this year.
