    Redskins Look Cooked

Anyone want to reverse that RGIII trade NOW??

It's clear that Shanahan is toast in Washington, as the Redskins are humiliated by the Chiefs at home. Washington fans can't even move on to what their high draft pick will bring to help next year.

Now all the Washington fans hae is the hope provided by that young National club that should be favored, by a lot, to win the NL East.

Houston's coach is canned too, so we'll see if that makes that team try harder the last four weeks.

With the Jaguars actually showing signes of life, and the Bucs starting to win behind Glennon, the Jags surge thanks to the Texans as much as anything, and Cleveland beating the Patriots badly right now, it appears that the top pick will come down to Houston, who has the "lead", as of now, Atlanta, Minnesota, and Washington.

When it comes to the schedules of those competing teams for the #1, which for a team looking to cash in on a trade could be called the Clowney Bowl, it's pretty clear that there are a couple of games that will really make the final standings.

Next week, Washington goes to Atlanta, THE game that could decide which of those two teams goes before the other.

Atlanta, with SJ 39 and Roddy White back, are close to losing a close game with the Packers in Green Bay, and with the Redskins absolutely folding, I don't see them winning what seems to be their last winnable game.

After that they host the Cowboys, and despite the rivalry, one of the most intense of all, that game is probably meaningful to Dallas, and I don't the see them beating Dallas, in a game that could see those Redskins fans turn on their team very early.

The Giants won't have anything to play for, other than their JOBS, the final game against the G-men. Tom Coughlin will have them prepared to send a message that they will be back to being a playoff team in 2014.

If Washington goes 3-13, they still look to finish behind Houston, who plays Indy, Denver, and Tennessee. The only winnable game seems to be Tennessee, but it's IN Nashville, which makes an upset unlikely.

If Washington and the Falsons tie at 3-13, it appears that the Redskins would pick before Atlanta.

Where Minnesota, now apparently without AP, drafts may well depend on whether they win today in Baltimore.

If they lose, I think they lose out against a schedule of Philly, Cincy and Detroit, and draft second overall at 2-13-1

So the way I see it #1 is gonna go to Houston, at 2-14, and in DIRE need of a QB.

Are they willing to deal down to a team in the top five for a bunch of picks, knowing they can get a top QB anywhere in the top 5 or 6?

Hopefully, one QB, especioally Bridgewater, will emerge as surely the best of a good lot.

That would make that 2nd overall pick quite valuable in the Clowney sweepstakes.

No doubt Atlanta would be interested, BADLY, and the Rams have a connection with Atlanta through Snead.

If someone does deal up to #1 for Clowney, like Atlanta, Oakland, Giants, Buffalo or others could, then the R ams could hold the key to the top quarterback in the draft at #2.

Imagine what Snead could do if that happens, just to move down two or three picks.

Assuming Minnesota loses today, with Jacksonville, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Oakland, and Cleveland almost sure to look at a QB first in round one, it could get very interesting, though I can't see Snead dealing down too far to get a top tackle.

Joe Barksdale has been benched today in favor of Saffold, which is quite telling as far as the rams belief in their RT of the future.

If Minnesota loses today, with 7 min left and a lead now, and the Rams end up picking 3rd, there still could be very god trade possibilities, for the second best QB or 3-4 OLB/DE Dave Barr.

The news from Washington could not be better though, at least for the RAms and all Redskin haters. I am getting a lot of Schadenfreude from seeing Danny Snyder suffer.

If Minnesota loses out they'll be 3-12-1 because they've already won 3 games so far. So if the Redskins, Falcons, and Vikings all lose from here on out (which is what I expect) then the Redskins would most likely draft 2nd, the Falcons 3rd, and the Vikings 4th.

    Re: Redskins Look Cooked

Damn, I had Atlanta with 2 and they have 3 wins .

That pretty much clinches #2 for the Rams

    Re: Redskins Look Cooked

One year ago, RG3 was the flagship of a new wave of QBs who were going to change the NFL forever, and the Rams were the team that foolishly let him slip away.

Now, the Redskins have flopped, RG3 is close to getting benched, and the Rams are looking at the prospect of a Top 5 pick.

    Patience is a virtue.

If the Redskins had taken Brockers, Jenkins, Tree and went with Cousins they wold be so much more better off. They would also have a first round pick this year, it would not be the second but they would have one.

Please Redskins, don't fire Shanahan and don't bench RG3! No reason for them to show competence until 2015.

We can only hope Kirk Cousins doesn't win them a few games...regardless, they've failed enough for us to get a decent pick regardless if they win out, which would definitely be tough..
