The Jets have reportedly released LG Alan Faneca.
The headline here reads "Jets release Pro Bowl G Alan Faneca." A Pro Bowler Faneca was in 2009, but he sure didn't play like it. Second-round pick Vlad Ducasse now looks to be locked in at left guard. Faneca, 33, will draw some interest, but won't approach the $7.5 million he was due from the Jets.

Not at all... Faneca is washed up and was one of the worst guards in the game last year.
Fraley is a better guard than Faneca right now...
Keep the o-line as is, it's going to be a strength of the team next season.
Faneca is getting released for a reason, i dont think he would be an updrage over Bell at LG
It's a madden like idea to be getting him and I doubt that we'll actually get it done. He's a better talent than we have at right guard, but he's a left guard. That alone means we won't grab him.
i wouldn't bother, im actually very satisfied with our line with the Saffold pick, and now our guys need to get in there and gel.
Faneca is still a servicable guy, but he was released because of his salary. Not a fit for us at this point.
