But a Hall-of-Famer...
If anything he is the RIGHT person, because he can preach his mistakes to the young men.

I got the impression at times that Irvin was getting on Blackmon's nerves. The difference between the pros and the college game, were pointed out with authority by Irvin. But man, Irvin is one cocky dude still.

Will he preach those "mistakes" as something to avoid? After all he made tons of "mistakes" and wound up with multiple SB rings, tons of money, and a spot in the hall of fame. Just saying he may not be the best mentor, most people can't do what he did and still end up with a great career.

I mean I love the Playmaker Michael Irvin, no matter what he has or hasn't done in the past.

I'm not saying Irvin doesn't deserve the accolades he has received, just that I am not sure if Blackmon were to follow that same path, that he'd have the same kind of success. Maybe Irvin is different now, makes me nervous though. You know how kids who run with the wrong crowd tend to turn out.

True, time will tell.
Re: Richardson or Blackmon?
I'd take Blackmon. There's always someone like Marcus Lattimore (South Carolina Running Back) next year, who fits the bill just as well as Richardson. St. Louis will most likely have two high-mid 1st round picks. It would be a good idea to draft a complementary back this year anywhere from the 3rd round on.

Was thinking this too, I think he is going to be a BEAST
Re: Richardson or Blackmon?
Blackmon winning in a runaway
Re: Richardson or Blackmon?
Honestly, whoever the bigger impact player is between the two, thats who I'd want.
For all the talk of "devalued" running backs, it seems its forgotten how many productive WR's like RB's have come about in recent years without being high draft picks or even touted in mainstream media.
Get the star player, Bradford needs to develop and if the organization is good, the rest will take care of itself imo.
