not heard anything but if its true i like it
What message board?
Message boards aren't always the most reliable source for news. I'm not saying the report is inaccurate, but a confirming link from a legitimate news agency would be a preferable source over another message board.
That being said, while Robaire has the versatility to play multiple positions on the D-line, I'm not sure the nose is his best fit. If his listed measurables are accurate though, then he certainly has the size we'd like to add. I think if we bring him in, it's going to be as part of a rotation at that spot, as he's not exactly known for having the best stamina in the league.
He imporves the DT depth greatly and would probably start playing the running downs at DT and possibly rushing form the NT spot. Smith is a stop gap right now and is not an impact player.
I rate him as a solid starter.
Is he better than jason fisk? How about carlton fisk?
ramming speed to all

and Jason retired....Heck, my turn to visit Rams Park as part of the D line carousel is next week.
That depends, full or empty? lol
Honestly, I don't know much about this guy other than Bernie said something interesting. He has the ability to play both DT and DE. Probably makes him a little small for some but at least he may be able to add production to the RDE position.
I don't know, my opinion and 5 bucks gets a you a latte at Starbucks.
lol
I saw it on the espn and stltoday message boards. i hope its true. that would be nice if it was true.

Tennessee defensive lineman Robaire Smith is expected to make a stop in St. Louis in the near future. Smith is 6’4, 325 pounds and can play anywhere along the defensive line. He would likely fit the bill as a run stuffing nose tackle in the Rams’ 4-3 scheme. He has previously visited with Cleveland earlier this week, a team believed to have strong interest in his services.
stlouisrams.com has reported that Robaire Smith is comign for a visit..and we just signed S Todd Johnson from the Bears along with Randy McMichael!!! so much for an unproductive offseason
