Rockin's Rockin Draft
Okay. Since I'm currently free right now, with some spare time, I guess I'll put up a couple mock drafts I feel comfortable with.
Note: Please keep in mind, these mock drafts do not include any FA moves or signings. So basically the "default" mock draft.
Mock Draft #1:
Round 1: Aaron Curry [OLB/ILB]
Round 2: William Beatty [OT]
Round 3: Ron Brace [NT]
Round 4: Eric Woods here, if doesn't slip, then A.Q Shipley [C]
Round 5: Chip Vaughn [SS]
Round 6: Graham Harrell or Tom Brandstater [QB]
Round 7: Quinn Johnson [FB]
Mock Draft #2:
Round 1: Eugene Monroe [OT]
Round 2: Max Unger [C]
Round 3: Michael Hamlin [SS]
Round 4: Scott Mckillop or Jason Phillips [MLB]
Round 5: Sammie Lee Hill [NT]
Round 6: Kaluka Maiava [OLB]
Round 7: Quinn Johnson [FB]
Feel free to critique my mocks, any advise, opinions or comments are welcomed.
Just no "Curry/Monroe suxz, Crabtree is the bomb lolz hehe" comments.Last edited by RockinRam; -02-09-2009 at 10:18 PM. Reason: Misspelled name

Re: Rockin's Rockin Draft
Jeez man, Curry and Monroe suxz, Crabtree is the bomb lolz hehe.
But seriously, they both seem like solid mocks to me. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'd rather make a mock/look at a mock after free agency. Because quite frankly, we have a lot of pressing needs and taking an OT in the first round will really help and taking an OLB will also help a lot. So what do we do!? We need to figure out what free agents we can acquire, how massive of an upgrade they are, and THEN decide whether we can take the best player available, which would be Crabtree, or taking a specific position of pure need.
Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

Re: Rockin's Rockin Draft
I prefer the first mock, though I would be concerned that Brace might not make it out of the second round.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

i think for this time that they have merritt , but i think that we have not even thought of the roster carnage that will hit this team . The RAMS will have FA and DRAFT money because the Rams have a bunch of ME FIRST players and players that don't motivate well .
Well , there is a new sherrif in town , and the TOWNS gonna be shot up , and it ain't gonna be pretty and its never gonna be the same . And i can't wait.
In all, really clear thinking would have coach making over a good portion of the team and putting his stamp on it , adding solid veterans to be standouts in the locker room to fill a void of Rams leaders leaving , FAULK - BRUCE , and maybe HOLT , PACE , GLOVER , CHAVOUS . Bringing in someone like MATT BIRK, right there one player makes a huge differance in stability , and a legitimate all-pro vet brings more leadership and success in the locker room.
take a gander . PACE -BELL -BIRK -GRECO - BARRON . not too bad with some of the other s we have for backups , minus a good 3rd tackle in the draft .Last edited by Nick; -02-10-2009 at 12:29 PM. Reason: Merging back to back posts

Re: Rockin's Rockin Draft
I prefer the first mock to the second mock as well, but that's probably more because I'm not a big Max Unger fan.

TRADE DOWN !
Linebackers don't get picked with the 2nd overall pick in draft.

Re: Rockin's Rockin Draft
There's already been some talk about Curry not making it out of the Top 5. If we do trade down, and then Curry gets picked before our pick, then we would have to pick someone else. I'm not saying that this would necessarily be a bad thing, since we could still pick an elite prospect, and gain an extra pick from the trade.
Just wondering, what is it that y'all prefer the first mock? Any reasons, opinions?
If we get Bart Scott in the FA, Curry will obviously not be a concern anymore, unless we want him to man the strong side, which will be unlikely.
