Re: Rookies
I'm pretty sure they will all make the "team" meaning that they will all at least make the PS

Re: Rookies
I think 5-7 make the real roster.
Bradford
Saffold
Murphy
Gilyard
Hoomanawanui
Selvie
Maybe Hall Davis, Marquis Johnson, and Josh Hull.
And maybe 2/3 of the rest of the drafted rookies and undrafted rookies will make the practice squad.

Re: Rookies
I dont think Bradford will start though. Spag's has said that he really like how Andy Reid eased McNabb into the QB position. And McNabb didnt start the first 9 games or so.

Re: Rookies
How many undrafted rookies did we have last year? I think they all have a good shot.

Re: Rookies
Using the past two drafts as reference, there's a good shot for 7 or 8 of them.

Re: Rookies
You missed TE/WR Fendi Onobun. His talent is limitless. The Rams have to find ways to get him on the field. The miss matches he brings to LB/S are good. He is going to be one of the exciting players to watch drafted by the Rams. Rams TE at camp this summer
1 : B. Bajema 6'-4" 259LBS 6 years (mostly blocking TE)
2 : D. Johnson 6'-5" 252LBS 4 years (Back up with NY Giants)
3 : S. Conover 6'-5" 275LBS 3 years
4 : E. Butler 6'-2" 255LBS 1 year
5 : M. Hoomanawanui 6'-4" 263LBS Drafted Rookie
6 : F. Onobun 6'-6" 252LBS Drafted Rookie(ran 4.45 & 4.50 , 40yd)
7 : J. McCoy 6'-2" 240LBS Undrafted Rookie
Listed as a FB. 8 : D. Fells 6'4" 272LBS
Onobun runs faster than Rookie WR Gilyard. I don't know to many LBs that can cover him. Safeties are fast enough but not big enough. He will win the jump ball every time.
I just see a great weapon in TE/WR Onobun that Bradford could use. I hope he is as good as A. gates or better. What a great red zone threat.
I agree with you Hubison. I'm hoping for 7 - 10 players make the Roster. My thought if they can't make the starting lineup after three to four years time to move on. I always use the Example of DE Eric Moore 5 years and can't make the starting roster. Should of drafted another DE for compitition after the third year. If the Rookie shows any potential to be better than E. Moore. Then release Moore. Rookies have to show vast improvements every year.

Re: Rookies
Hub is absolutely right. As this is only the second draft for Spags type players, there's a good chance that most of them will make the roster or PS, if only because they'll be displacing Linehan players.
I believe!

Re: Rookies
I'd say all the drafted players and 2 at most of our own undrafted guys

Re: Rookies
Let's not get our hopes up for Onobun. I love what he brings as far as ability. But his rawness can't be stressed enough. I've played more football than this guy. I also don't have nerly the ability he has. Maybe his talent can push him onto the field sooner rather than later, but I would not hold my breath. I'm looking in other areas for surprises and holding the Onobun love on the backbruner so if he DOES come out and shows out, I will be pleasantly surprised.

Re: Rookies
I think we could see quite a few of them. Bradford, Saffold, and Murphy are pretty much locks. Gilyard should make the practice squad at a minimum. Somebody will land the third tight end job. Probably at least one or two of the new defensive linemen make the roster. In fact, I'd say potentially all the backup jobs on the defensive line--or the entire defense really--could be up for grabs.
I don't expect Onobun to make the roster just yet, but I do think he'll be on the practice squad.

Re: Rookies
I don't have a clue. The roster will be ultra fun to watch as the preseason progresses. The way the Rams cut veterans last year, I wonder if that might not happen again this year with those remaining. Does Bajema make this team? Hoomanawanui may make him irrelevant. There are a few of those on this roster that could free up drafted and undrafted FAs.
