Round Table Mock Draft
A bunch of buddies and I sit around and create a mock draft based on voting for each teams choice. Here it is
Okoye [Wash], Branch [Hou], Willis [SF] are all off the board.
1[13] DE Jamaal Anderson [Arkansas]
Trade 2[52] to Oakland for 3[65] and 3[97]
3[65] DT Brandon Mebane [Cal]
3[81] S Josh Gattis [Wake Forest]
3[97] LB Tim Shaw [Penn State]
and my second day
4. OG Mansfield Wrotto [Georgia Tech]
5. QB Jordan Palmer [UTEP]
6. RB Selvin Young [Texas]
7. WR Syndric Steptoe [Arizona]
7. DT LeRon Harris [NW Oklahoma ST.]
7. C Bob Morton [Notre Dame]

Re: Round Table Mock Draft
I hate to beat a dead horse, but I firmly believe that mock drafts should not include traded picks. It is simply way too speculative to choose a trading partner. While I realize the whole process is speculation, forecasting picks is done by judging talent and need, not guessing at which teams may want to package their picks for others.
How did your round-table work? As I understand it, it is generally a collaborative effort with much discussion and compramise. Did you all believe that the Rams would trade picks with the Raiders specifically?

Re: Round Table Mock Draft
Well, for starters, you can't trade compensatory picks. So Oakland wouldn't be sending us their third round comp. selection. They'd have to send us their fourth rounder. In the end, I tend to agree with BigGame that trades are kind of iffy in mocks, specifically one team mocks where you don't see why a team is moving up or moving down. Why does Oakland trade back up into the second? We're left without an answer because this is just a Rams mock.
Otherwise, the mock looks solid. I don't think Shaw is there in the bottom of the third, and I don't care for the Palmer pick in the fifth. Those are really the only two things that kind of stood out for me. Mebane at the top of the third is good but I'm kind of concerned about his upper body strength after he only did 24 reps at the combine.

UNREAL, no trades, like some picks , didn't like many.
