RUMOR: Eagles/Rams Trade?

ESPN Reports: Coming from a very reliable source within the Eagles' organization, within the next 24 to 48 hours Lito Sheppard will be shipped to the St. Louis Rams along with the 19th Pick in the 2008 draft for Rams' wideout Torry Holt. The 31-year old Holt, going into his 10th NFL season, had a very impressive 2007 season. He finished with 93 receptions for 1,189 yards and 7 touchdowns. This addition will vastly improve a struggling Eagles' wide receiving corps.

Im SCARED, Holt is my boy, i dont wanna get rid of him although this would be a great trade. Im hoping that this is just a eagle fan living a wet dream.

Nor am i, i just searched lito sheppard info to see if we had anything and then i saw this rumor on some site and it was posted yesterday. Although i dont believe it, we have been talking about a trade, and as much as i love Holt this would be a no-brainer.

I'm with Avenger on this one Holt for Sheppard and the 19th pick PUHLEASE! What else would we be getting? Then what Bennett would be our #1 guy? I also dont believe this because if it were true why wouldnt we have pursued a wr a little harder in free agency? Better not happen!

Wow, we wanted a FO with some balls well.....IF and it's a big IF. The Rams do this and then trade back in the draft from the second pick, we are blowing this thing up and starting over!

For its abysmal stupidity? Dealing Holt would leave the Rams receiver corps toothless for the season. While having a cornerback like Sheppard would be nice...emasculating the offense to pull it off isn't. The additional 1st rounder isn't worth it this year as well. The Draft just isn't deep enough (especially in the receiver department) to justify the trade.

This trade is most likely some BS rumor by an Eagle fan but we'll see, and dont get me wrong id be devastated if this happened. I love Torry "BIG GAME" Holt.

they cant do this, we would have no recievers, and that "trade" they have been working on started before the lito sheaperd rumors, so it is most likely not sheperd, i dont think the rams are that dumb....
