The St. Louis Post-Dispatch confirms the Rams have made an offer to free agent DT Brandon Mebane.
Beat writer Jim Thomas concedes the Rams are not considered the front-runner, though. Seahawks receiver Mike Williams hinted earlier in the day via Twitter that Mebane was returning to Seattle, though we've seen nothing official.
Ala the Godfather, hopefully, "We've made him an offer he can't refuse."

Even if we miss on Mebane, it seems the Rams are at least making offers to some of the top players in free agency. What a difference a good player makes.?
