    Saints release TE Jeremy Shockey

    Fyi the New Orleans Saints have just terminated the contract of TE Jeremy Shockey. As per a source on Nfl Network.

    I dont know about you guys, but I would love to bring this guy in. Hes a good in line blocker and pass catcher. He would definetly be a good fit in seeing that Josh McDaniels likes to run alot of double tight end sets.

    What do you guys think.

    I'm not to sure where you got your info on the usage of two tight end sets by McDaniels, but it is well known that McHoodie does not use tight ends in passing very much at all. In fact I put up stats in another post showing the fact that he does not use tight ends. This would be a waste of our resources to sign Shockey, and in my opinion even drafting a Tight End would be a waste. Just keep the ones we have.

    Shockey was a huge fan favorite here, I saw his jersey everywhere. Saints fans will miss him like crazy. That said, I don't think the Rams should sign him.

    I like what we have in Illinois Mike, Fells, and Bajema. I dont see a need for Shockey, and I would be upset if we wasted money on him with all the holes we have to fill right now
