he wasnt on my rams list either, but look at it this way. In a sense, every time a free agent drops off it potentially impacts us because teams with cap money to spend have one less guy to go after and thus, may focus somewhere else. A team that wanted samuel might now focus on charles grant instead, although i will personally be surprised if he doesnt get tagged or resigned. I hope i am wrong, i would love for us to get grant.

I might be wrong, but I believe that Will Smith is who the Saint's are going to franchise. Charles is still young and more than likely will command a hefty salary. Unfortunately, I think your right about other teams with money changing direction.
