Re: Say goodbye to Alshon Jeffery
It is nice thinking you two, it is. But people are already wanting to throw our three rookies from last yer out because they weren't good enough for their expectations. I fear what they'd do with a WR corps with Salas, Pettis, Jeffery, Blackmon, and Amendola.
What I'm trying to say is, unless we somehow fill most every need except for WR in Free Agency, there's no way that we'd invest two first round picks in the same year on the same position. We need line help on both sides and linebackers and depth everywhere. We don't have the luxury to put that much draft stock into WR. There should be some good DL and OL players available in the bottom third of the first round if we indeed trade with the Browns. Expect either one of those if we take Blackmon earlier.I believe!

Re: Say goodbye to Alshon Jeffery
Delete the thread. Jeffery measures in at the combine: 216 lbs.

Re: Say goodbye to Alshon Jeffery
I meant he hasnt weighed that little since high school. Hes been playing in the 230's must of his collegiate career. Sorry was the bad wording originally.
My reason why im worried about his weight is, hes been 230's the last few years and come combine time he trims down, but will he balloon back up again?
As for his cone drills and such, havent heard about that, interesting to know.
This is the most ive gotten involved with the combine ever, ive been fallowing tweets, multiple sites etc. already getting a headache and they havent even done drills yet.
Blackmon came in at 6 feet 7/8 inch. Would be shortest wr takin in top ten since Ginn jr.

If blackmon came in under 6ft1. I am not that interested anymore. Is that wrong of me to consider height that much?

Re: Say goodbye to Alshon Jeffery
I was just picking on you. Per this thread, he was to be excluded because he had ballooned up to 249 and now had lost over 30 lbs just a week later. Losing a bunch of weight for the combine is a red flag. Obviously his speed wasn't looking attractive at his normal playing weight.
Playing at 230 is fine, if you can still run a 4.5.
