Schefter: Tebow trade to come down to Jets or Jags; Rams out of the mix

Actually now that I think about it. We need a new full back and I while he may be an expensive FB he could work well to open the holes for SJax.

Will tebow come to stl with any illusion that he will be a starting QB? Absolutely not. The guy will be a great fb/ te/ wildcat, certainly a better athlete than anyone we could get in the fifth round. He is the ultimate team player, this would only be a positive for the rams

Also it seems the rams arent willing to pay the 5mill either. So we should be in the clear

I hope that is sarcasm. Cause I don't understand how Tebow WOULDN"T come in with the illusion of being a starting qb and stirring up a controversy

Yeah, I can't validate the Rams spending money on Tebow when we have pressing needs elsewhere that we could have used the money on....

Unless he can really play Weak Side Linebacker...?

He would currently be the second best linebacker on our team. This is the sad truth.

You're implying that Tebow has the skills necessary to play FB/TE.

1. His body is not used to the amount of punishment it would take for him to play FB. He's a strong guy, but NFL FB's have been playing FB for a long time and their bodies are a brick.

2. He has no knowledge of how to run routes, or anything for that matter that a TE needs.


Basically, Tebow doesn't fit here, other than being a emotional cheerleader.
