Scouting (particularly RBs and WRs) does not end at conclusion of the draft
While we debate the merits of taking players such as Justin Blackmon or Trent Richardson, don't forget that there are gems out there waiting to be found after the draft ends, particularly at the RB and WR positions.
Here are lists of some of the current RBs and WRs who did not hear their names called in the draft:
Running Backs
LaGarrett Blount
Arian Foster
Ryan Grant
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Pierre Thomas
Danny Woodhead
Wide Receivers
Danny Amendola
Miles Austin
Doug Baldwin
Hank Baskett
Davone Bess
Josh Cribbs
Victor Cruz
Malcolm Floyd
Wes Welker
There are a few players there we could use, huh?
So, while you're reading your draft guides, don't ignore those late round prospects. Some guys are just late bloomers.
Re: Scouting (particularly RBs and WRs) does not end at conclusion of the draft
True enough, there is always some UDFA that becomes a star.
I know you used Blackmon and Richardson because its about wr and rb, and thats our most likely target(and i know you thought about this before you made this thread), but all you have to do is mention the name Kurt Warner and we all understand, probably more so than 31 other teams about finding a diamond in the rough UDFA.
I hope our scouts and Fishead can find some late round picks/UDFA that can become at least starters or become superstars. That is one area we have been lacking big time the last many years. It seems the last 5 years and beyond after the 2nd round we have drafted junk (and many times earlier).
I hope for the best.

I know we don't have a rep for winning lately, but you would think that the fairly good chance to be able to secure a roster spot due to a lack of depth would bring some attention to us from the UDFA's...
Getting paid comes first, then worry about rings my undrafted friends.
