LSU's Chris Faulk done for year

BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU left tackle Chris Faulk is out for the remainder of the 2012 season, a school official confirmed Friday.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed the news to GeaxTigerNation on Friday afternoon following reports that the junior's knee injury, suffered in practice this week, would cause him to miss the rest of the year.

Faulk's injury was first revealed by LSU coach Les Miles after the Tigers' practice Wednesday evening, though Miles did not comment on the severity.

Faulk has 16 career starts for the Tigers, including last Saturday's 41-14 win against North Texas. He was named preseason second-team All-SEC by league coaches this summer.

In his place, LSU will go with senior Josh Dworaczyk, who will move from guard to tackle. Dworaczyk is no stranger to injury himself, as he missed the duration of 2011 with a knee injury of his own. Dworaczyk brings 26 career starts to the line after he was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA last spring.
