Second Round Pick Could MAke or Break Rams Draft

With pick 2 and 13, it's pretty much imossible, or at least pretty improbable in this talent pool, for the Rams to mess up round one. Whether they stay put or deal down a bit, they will get a couple great prospects at any number of positions of need.

They are not in a position roster wise, however, where they have to move just to get more holes filled. This isn't 2012 at Rams Park.

Now, if the Rams acquire another high second rounder, it really changes their draft dynamic, with that extra. "wild card" pick now available for pretty much anything.

These are the 43 guys I am pretty certain won't be there at 44. Obviously if one falls at a need position and not a QB, the Rams would be all over them, and might even trade up a few picks if a guy starts to fall they love.

    QB- 6
    Manziel
    Bortles
    Bridgewater
    Carr
    Garopollo
    Mecklenberger

    WR -9
    Watkins
    Evans
    Beckham
    Cooks
    Lee
    Mathews
    Adams
    Benjamin
    Lattimer

    TE - 2
    E. Ebron
    A. Seferian -Jenkins

    OT -7
    Robinson
    Matthews
    Lewan
    Martin
    Moses
    Bittonio
    Kouandjio

    G -1
    X. Sua' Filo

    DE - 3
    Clowney
    Ealy
    Tuitt

    DT -3
    Donald
    Nix
    Hageman

    OLB -4
    Mack
    Barr
    Shazier
    Ford

    ILB-1
    Mosely

    CB -5
    Gilbert
    Dennard
    Fuller
    Verett
    Roby

    S -
    Clinton-Dix
    Pryor

So, figuring those guys are gone, here is the list of best players who should be available, and keep in mund a deal downwould have given you one of those listed above for sure.

At 44 you will have some great talent available in this draft, first round caliber talent, even if no one falls I listed.

There is so much talent the Rams could use, that a trade down from 44 to 50 or so might not hurt what they are doing at all, UNLESS it's a safety they must have there. Those guys may not get to 50.

    QB -2
    McCarron
    Savage

    RB - 3
    Sankey
    Mason
    Hyde

    WR - 2
    A. Robinson
    Landry

    TE -1
    J. Amaro

    G -2
    Yankey
    Jackson

    C -1
    Martin

    DE - 1
    S. Crichton

    DT - 1
    T. Jernigan

    OLB - 1
    Van Noy

    S -3
    Ward
    Buchanon
    Joyner

Re: Second Round Pick Could MAke or Break Rams Draft

I like the first round talent and value that will be available all the way down to the last pick. The second round talent I am not as thrilled with the value. The third round I start liking the value again.

    LOL. Barry, it's Mettenberger.

I hope the kid doesn't read this site; I swear, you're going to give him a complex.

If the Rams could draft Sammy Watkins in the 2nd round, it would really help their odds of making this a solid draft.
