Sharper cut

ESPN has reported

Unable to continue carrying his lofty salary-cap charge and unwilling to pay him a $2.6 million roster bonus due Friday, the Packers on Thursday released two-time Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper, ESPN.com has learned.

Re: Sharper cut

Yes, the Rams will get moving when Fat Boy finally signs a contract and gets his ever-growin' gluteus max off our salary cap. Until then we can only wait and dream of acquiring a player like Mr. Sharper.

WHAT SAY YE?

Sharper scouting report

While Sharper sounds good, trolling on the GB boards (I know not unbiased) found a lot of comments that he is on the decline, can't tackle, and makes a lot of mistake in pass coverage which along with the young corners led to GB's poor pass coverage.

Any scouting reports on him out there. He sounds good but I wonder if he would be a Duncan-like pickup...good promise but not good production.

Not likely that anything currently breathing could work out much worse than jamie duncan, who couldnt tackle a dead man in a phone booth.

Re: Sharper cut

I don't see why the Rams need Sharper if they are so sure Tinoisamoa is going to be ok at ss. Arch is supposed to be our new fs so if we sign Sharper then what do we do with Pisa???

GO RAMS RE-TOOL FOR 05 :ramlogo:

Re: Sharper cut

Pisa would move back to linebacker and (hopefully) bulk up, I guess.

Re: Sharper cut

Sharper's going to Minnesota. The Vikes flew him in tonight.

They're gonna be stacked on defense this year.

He's going to visit the Vikings, but they may not sign him. We'll have to see.
