In regard to Glenn Dorsey?
I need to see some game tapes on him, but these are some questions and
some observations I have:
- He's not a Noseguard. He's another Under-tackle (where Carriker is best suited).
- He's not a pass rusher. Of course, not a lot of the interior guys are - but for playing under tackle in College - he's Really not a pass rusher. Check the number of pressures by
Claude Wroten in his senior year versus the number
of pressures by Glenn Dorsey in his senior year. Wroten played ahead of Dorsey (same position) in 2005.
- Supposedly he does not have a lot of upper body strength. That is very unusual for the first DL taken in the draft - VERY unusual. Maybe someone
will tell me I'm wrong, and I'm open to that.
- LSU Defense lineman haven't fared well in the Pros of late. They have good teams and swarming defenses.
I do understand the guy is a player. Many people had him going first. But, he is unusual. His game is quickness evidently - but he uses it to defeat the running game.
I know Dorsey is getting doubled - but it's hard for me to believe that Wroten
didn't get doubled too - with his numbers.
Any information is appreciated.
TIA.
