Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
I am no expert and probably missed a thread on this already. But with all this draft talk I have been thinking about other opportunities that can make this offense function now in 2010.
Is there a player/pick combo worth this guy? Is he too big a head case.
Down side is he is on the back side of the career when a young QB will likely blossom.
Up side is he is an immediate threat defenses would have to respect giving Jackson room and opening more "west coast" type offensive opportunities.
If he goes to the Seabirds he will kill us. (not a reason)
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
i like him, i think denver made it pretty clear they want a first round pick for him and don't really want to talk about anything else. of course, our 2nd round pick is one away from a first, so if they were going to fold we would be the ones with the opportunity but i don't think it happens.
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
i think theres more chance of Plaxico being brought onboard and the chances of that happening are slimmer than a toothpick.

tell that to seattle. they aint giving up their #6 and they are talking
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
The only reason I want Marshall is because I dont want seattle to get their hands on him.
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
Talented headache who wants $10mil and would cost us our 2nd? No thanks.
I will admit his talent is tantalizing, and he'd give Bradford a huge weapon, but he has been a pain in the rear to the Broncos, and he would cost a LOT of money, as opposed to the cheaper 2nd round pick which is basically a first in this year's draft. I'd love to have a guy of Marshall's talent, just not his attitude.

yeah, notice he's not a seahawk buddy? they also have a second first round pick, which they have been trying their best to use instead, but denver hasn't bit yet.
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
I don't think I would want the potential drama he would bring, not to mention that I doubt we would give up a 2nd for him.
On the other hand, we desperately need a durable veteran reciever, or at least I would feel more comfortable if we picked up one. Our recieving corps is green and unproven and a poor fit for a rookie QB. The last thing a rookie QB needs is the poor route running Bulger had to put up with. How many times did out recievers screw the pouch on timed routes last year? How many times was our QB (and along with everyone at home) scratching his head at a broken play?
I think we need someone.
Re: Should the Rams trade for Brandon Marshall
As i have posted before and will post again, with the sale of the rams pending, the odds of current ownership trading for a guy like this AND paying him a huge signing bonus, which would come out of chip's pocket are absolutely ZERO.
