Sleeper: Leonard Peters ...
Safety Leonard could be acquired in the 7th round or even as a free agent if he is not drafted. He ran poorly at the combine which did not help his draft stock. However he is not slow as he has run in the 4.4s when healthy. He is known here in Hawaii as a "banger" and goes all out.

Re: Sleeper: Leonard Peters ...
3/29/07 - From the Honolulu Advertiser today
"The New York Jets are showing strong interest in safety Leonard Peters. Jets head coach Eric Mangini watched the workouts. Peters has been told he will be picked in the first five rounds. He is projected to play strong safety or weak-side linebacker."
Also, an update on other former Warriors:
"Running back Regan Mauia looks like a different player. He has a buzz cut, and he trimmed down to 272 pounds."
"Running back Nate Ilaoa weighed in at 255 — about 10 pounds higher than his target weight — but he ran a very fast L-drill."
"The biggest surprise is Kenny Patton, who missed UH's final eight games because of a broken collarbone. Patton had the highest vertical jump (41 1/2 inches) and ran 40 yards in 4.5 seconds. After the drills, the New Orleans Saints set up a private interview."
I'm kind of disappointed in Nasti Nate, I was hoping he'd be disciplined enough to get down to 235 pounds. If he did so, he would probably have been drafted for sure. Now it looks like he'll be a free agent, wich is not so bad, but not guaranteed at all.Last edited by chipperjones; -03-30-2007 at 05:49 PM.
