Smoke or fire? Vikings still deciding between Kalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon

2007 draft 1st round = Peterson
2008 = no 1st round (safety taken in 2nd round)
2009 draft 1st round = Harvin (first defensive player taken is CB in 3rd round)
2010 = no 1st round (CB in the 2nd and then a defensive player in the 4th)
2011 draft 1st round = Ponder (didn't take a defensive player until the 4th round)

Blackmon and Harvin would be a great duo. IMO that's the type of WR he needs to be matched up against.
They had the 31st worst pass defense in the league and it's a franchise that prides itself on having a great defense. After years of under drafting that side of the ball, I wouldn't rule it out.

Plus the Vikings already know what Clairborne looks like in Purple, so they can predict how marketing shots would turn out. Could that be what swings the pendulum???
