So do we still draft another WR?
With the pick up of Titus Young, are we still targeting another WR in the 1st or 2nd rounds. personally, I was kind of hoping Deandre Hopkins with 1.22 or our round 2 selection. I would still be ecstatic about it, but not really sure if WR is gonna be a top priority. HMMMMM what do ya'll think?

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
A lot probably depends on whether Quick can pick up the offense or Amendola gets signed. I have a gut feeling that we don't get a wideout in the first round. Then again, it could just be indigestion.

I doubt Young will have a significant effect on the Rams' draft plans.

I was hoping for Hopkins in the first or Wheaton in the second too. I guess we will see what Les and Jeff feel is right. DRAFT BY YOUR BOARD!!

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
Yeah I'm with Av, our draft plans are still the same. Young has a huge upside BUT he is a big question mark. Young could be our number one on opening day or he could be cut before camp ends. I hope he does and says all the right things and plays well for us, just not banking on it, but hoping like hell he does.

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
Don't think Titus Young changes any of our offseason plans. Except for more competition, no WR job is safe, and maybe amendola will be leaving

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
If Young has more impact that Steve Smith I'd be shocked (pleasantly). Either way I don't know if they'd draft a WR unless they were really sold on him. I'm thinking they stay the course and let guys develop and then try to add the best OL and S they can in round one then maybe a TE in 2.

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
If the Rams fall in love with a guy, like they did with Brian Quick, I think they'd draft one. Otherwise I'd say there are other position with more value in the first round, and the Rams would wait for the 2nd round to look at WRs.

Simple and only answer...Yes.

I seriously doubt the Rams' personnel plan or strategy - whatever it is - has been changed by the acquisition of Titus Young.

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
Wait a minute, I beg to disagree here. If TY will have no effect on our draft plans, then why claim him? Clearly we won't have the chance to see him practice before the draft occurs according to the new CBA rule. But if we claimed him off waivers there must be a reason. Maybe it's just negotiating leverage with D. Amendola's agent, then I agree no impact on our draft plans. Otherwise, there is an agenda here. Jeff and Les are too savvy to make moves with no intended consequence. The jury is out right now, but I suspect there will be conversations with TY and evaluations of his game performance, but to ignore his impact on our draft plans is in my opinion ignoring the obvious. Just my humble opinion.

Re: So do we still draft another WR?
OK, valid point. I would still maintain that claiming TY has to have some impact on our draft plans as it may involve not simply whether we draft a WR, but rather when, meaning early, mid or late rounds. Of course the FA market will also impact our activity, but that is not the point here so I will refrain from discussing.
I hate to have to break this to you AV, but surely you already realize, this may put Terence Williams on the "back burner" for us.
Go Rams!
