Re: So who's it gonna be?
I went Sims, but I think Jimmy Williams would still be a likely choice there as well. Really, under those circumstances, I think we'd take Ngata. What does Randy know? I'm not convinced that his comment about us not taking a DT isn't just an assumption based on our previous history, like if I said, "I know Detroit won't be taking a wide receiver this year."
Re: So who's it gonna be?
Sims is too small for strong side!
Re: So who's it gonna be?
Chad Greenway. Has the speed and physical ability for strongside and will increase his strength!
Re: So who's it gonna be?
Manny Lawson
And who is Randy K??????????????????

Re: So who's it gonna be?
I voted Chad Greenway seems the FO are impressed with him
Re: So who's it gonna be?
Lawson,He could be this years DeMarcus Ware
Re: So who's it gonna be?
I'm not sure I buy that Bunckley and Ngata won't be considered. DT is our thinnest position on defense right now and its the one where depth counts the most. We're less likely to get a dominating player right away, but given Haslet's history of drafting D-linemen in the first round it just makes the most sense to me.
I chose Jason Allen. He would be a sleeper pick and a bit of reach, but if he hadn't been injured it would be a stellar pick.
Re: So who's it gonna be?
I vote yesterday for Manny Lawson, because I beleive he is tweener Haslett is looking for. With Lawson's height and speed, he will be everwhere on the feild---deflecting, sacking, intercepting, and takling. Manny is in the shadows of Super Mario, his fellow team mate at NCSU. That's why he is so low on the mock drafts.
Re: So who's it gonna be?
I'm haunted by the words of coach Linehan regarding the "premium" they are going to place on the TE position. Is it so far fetched that they will do what's necessary to get Vernon Davis?

Lawson can't be this years DeMarcus Ware because Ware is a 3 - 4 OLB and we don't play 3 - 4!

I thought we were going to play both 4-3 and 3-4, but use the 4-3 as a base system. That's why Linehan wants tweeners.
