Somebody please talk me down off of the ledge...

Please don't anyone take offense to this.

With all the Mocks (which I truly enjoy reading)

All the talks of trades with this team or that for extra picks here and there.

All the predicitions and wishes for certain players (Again, I do enjoy reading)

I ask myself....when does the Free Agency period start and end.

1 signing in Free Agency by our RAMS could turn all these mocks, trades, wishes etc
into that deck of cards being thrown into the air.

It is fun to play GM or HC and everyone is good at it but are we being premature?

Sorry to be a party pooper....

lol I have been thinking the same thing LA. I have a mock I have been working on but haven't finished it yet because I have multiple choices for each pick, and multiple trade down choices as well, and which ones I pick will be determined through what we do through FA. So now I am just sitting on my a$$ waiting

For all the mock drafts, maybe people should provide a statistical breakdown of how good they were last year and how often they miss with their picks. Lot of people had Blackmon one year as a can't miss guy. I'd doubt many of those would trade a 2nd rounder for him now.

Its definitely an inexact "science," but I don't think Blackmon is a good illustration, as his issues have been primarily off-the-field.

Its all premature, speculative and unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but it passes the time during the offseason.

They could, but at the end of the day everyone has hits and misses. That Blackmon draft I said Michael Floyd was going to be the superior pro player, and I was correct. But I also didn't rate Kendall Wright high and he has proven me wrong.

Blackmon was pretty good when he played, posting 29 catches and 415 yards in the 4 games he did play, on a pretty terrible team. His problem seem to be more off-the-field than unable to play in the NFL. Of course, either way, you aren't playing, so what difference does it make. A guy with Blackmon's talent and no off-field issues though, would still be a very good WR to have.

No doubt, especially if they sign a good free safety, keep Finnegan, Wells, Williams and Saffold.

With not a huge amount of cap, unless they do get Bradford re-done, I don't see huge signing for the Rams.

    Saffold will be priority.

They could look for older, cheaper former star types on short term deals, then still draft that position high.

It's a pretty sure bet the Rams will be looking value at OT, DB, DT, OLB, and WR early based on the depth of this draft, and the talent up top as well.

I don't see FA changing that all that much.

Plus its damn fun. I actually enjoy the thought process put in, tried to weed out the cloud nine dream never happen senerios, and see how close it comes to what transpires. I wish there was a way some of the sites I check for mock's had a way to keep what they thought woud happen in sept, dec. jan, post compine, post free agency. See how varied it got. Maybe its me but I have a lot of fun with it.

That being said I would rather it be boring as hell cause we always end up picking last :-D

Is this a bad time to talk about how I hope to have a new mock out by the end of the week?

Idk if I'd trade a 2nd rounder, but I'd definitely give up a 3rd rounder for Blackmon. Even though he's had horrible QB play throughout his career, he's put up pretty good numbers and looks like a legit #1 receiver to me. Of course, all of this is moot if he continues to be suspended for smoking the sticky icky

just amazes me how even with millions on the line in the NFL

all you have to do is play good on the field, and then NOT get into trouble outside of your job

is that REALLY too hard to do with that amount of money at risk?
