Re: Someone had to post it -- PERCY HARVIN, Yes Please !!!!
He's a playmaker and would be a great addition.
If he could be had for a 3rd round pick and would accept a reasonable contract, I'd love to have him.
I suspect, though, that this is not going to be possible (particularly with respect to his contract demands).
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

I just wonder what people think Amendola would want and what Harvin would want.

Re: Someone had to post it -- PERCY HARVIN, Yes Please !!!!
Considering our current cap constraints, I don't see how we could fit Harvin under the cap. In addition, as much as I like his talent, it's hard to ignore the fact he's had some injury problems, has never had a 1,000 yard season (receiving) and yet wants to be paid among the top WRs.
I think it would be hard to justify not just the draft picks the Vikings will probably want, but the damage to our roster to create the cap space necessary to sign him.

An article on NFL.com claims Harvin wants Megatron money.
"I've been saving the Universe for over a thousand years. I figure it owes me just this once."

Re: Someone had to post it -- PERCY HARVIN, Yes Please !!!!
Apparently Harvin isn't seeking Megatron money, but a team source said there's a case to be made he deserves it.
As to what he's actually seeking...
Pelissero: Percy Harvin's contract demands have Vikings in tough spot | 1500 ESPN Twin Cities ? Minnesota Sports News & Opinion (Twins, Vikings, Wolves, Wild, Gophers) | Sportswire: Minnesota VikingsWord circulating in league circles is his agent, Joel Segal, is starting the bidding upwards of $10 million a season, which would make Harvin one of the NFL's 10 highest-paid receivers no matter what Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings and Dwayne Bowe command in free agency.
The real goal may be $12 million a year, if not higher -- more than any receiver except All-Pros Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald. That kind of compensation is a bigger issue for teams that have discussed a deal for Harvin than the draft pick(s) it'd take to land him.
"He's not a conventional, traditional wide receiver where you line him up outside and he's going to win one-on-ones with the full route tree," an executive in personnel for an AFC team said.
"You've got to kind of manufacture some things to get the ball in his hands, and when you do, he's unique and he can be explosive. But I just don't see him as someone who's worth a number one pick."

Re: Someone had to post it -- PERCY HARVIN, Yes Please !!!!
I think this was a mistake on the part of the source. Why would you tell the media the player has a case to make as much as megatron? I don't think he does have a case, but if I were his agent I'd sure throw that at them now. This is why organizations don't want anyone talking to the media.
